POSTINO PRIVATE ROOMS
Housed in a charming Carr Jones designed historic building, Postino welcomes guests with the celebration of food, family, friends and life around the dinner table. With its roots planted firmly in the Italian countryside, Postino is nestled in the hillside town of Lafayette in the East Bay. Postino’s brick walls, slate tiled floors, fireplaces and intimate dining rooms evoke images and feelings of Italy and the Mediterranean. The dramatic ambience at Postino is captivating and enchanting. We are pleased to offer four different spaces that provide a unique setting, which can be tailored to meet the needs of your event.
Lunch served Monday – Saturday, 11:30am – 3pm.
Dinner served 7 nights a week beginning at 4:30pm.
THE BUCA
Adjacent to Postino’s terrazzo, the Buca, with its beautifully designed wood arched ceiling, is a handsome private dining room that can accommodate up to 25 guests for a seated dinner. Surrounded by Italian urns and hand painted frescos that give the warm feeling of the Italian countryside, the Buca is ideal for special celebrations as well as business events.
THE ALCOVE ROOM
The Alcove Room occupies a quiet space next to the larger Family Room and serves as an intimate dining room for up to 16 guests. A wood beamed ceiling and floor lamps make the room inviting and cozy.
THE FAMILY ROOM
The Family Room is a warm and gracious dining room with a handsome wood-burning fireplace. Banquettes and booths make the setting perfect for tables of 4-12 guests. Golden urns adorn the walls to make this room a bit whimsical for your event. The Family Room accommodates 50 guests and with the addition of the Alcove Room, can accommodate up to 65 guests.
THE TAVALLOZZA
The Tavallozza (Italian for family table) is the perfect location for a group of up to 12 guests. Situated next to the Buca in its own area, the Tavallozza offers a private space with a long family style wood table. With doors looking out onto the Terrazzo and hand-painted frescoes, the Tavallozza makes an inviting atmosphere for business or social events.
THE PATIO
Comprised of slate tiles along the entire patio area. The Patio is an outdoor patio area complemented by a cozy fire pit, setting a romantic ambience. Overlooking the rose garden and open lawn area, The Patio can accommodate up to 50 guests. Ideal for cocktail parties or an intimate summer night gathering.
POSTINO PATIO AND RESTAURANT
The entire restaurant and outdoor area is also available for parties up to 250 guests. The Patio can accommodate up to 50 guests seated. Our historic building offers a unique environment that promises to make your event an extraordinary experience.
WEDDING CEREMONIES AT POSTINO
The slate patio, vine covered arches and secluded lawn are the perfect setting for a memorable ceremony; available at an additional charge.
